Join us for another awesome City Alps training weekend away - hosted by City Alps and lead by Patagonia ambassador and founder of the The Chamonix Mountain Endurance Academy, Chloe Lanthier. Please read below for more details of the program line up, costs and more.

SINGLE TRACK SATURDAY

Video analysis will be done all day for analysis and review on Sunday
Cadence, pacing and the 3 speeds of a trail runner
Form training for flat, rolling terrain and hills
Drills to maximize economy for all terrain, including descending technique and pacing
Running versus walking : strategy for the longer climbs
Lunch in a mid-mountain Blaitère - 11h45 to 12h45 (approximately)
Chloë will do a small talk on hydration & fueling while we are having lunch

Uphill experience re: pacing
Prehab exercises and stretching routine at the Chamonix Track

Vertical Training: Founded in Chamonix: experience an innovative training method to increase your fitness level for flats and hills, gain strength & power for the distance and to reduce your chances of overuse injuries.
Technical Single Track: learn how to anticipate your footing, how to read the trail and to maintain your pace in technical terrain.

Camp will end at round 15h30 and 16h00; farewell to Chloe
Some of us will stay on Monday to run a longer route in the morning and spend time in a sauna/spa.
Fly back to Amsterdam on Monday.
Important notice: please note that the camp schedule and itinerary may vary due to the unpredictable mountain weather and conditions.
Insurance: we suggest that everyone has appropriate insurance for rescue & medical costs, as we will be running in the mountains.

Seminars / workshops: fueling and hydration, injury prevention, exercises & stretches specific to trail running.

Shuttle from the airport to Chamonix and back

Please Note: We need minimum 10 people by the 28 Feb in order for us to go ahead with the camp. If we will need to cancel before the 28 Feb, you will be refunded 100% of the total cost. If you cancel after 15 March, then you will be refunded 50% of the total cost. If you decide to book flights before hand (since they are nice and cheap at the moment) and the camp gets cancelled, we regret we will not be able to refund you for your personal flights. We suggest you see it as an awesome trip to the mountains to run and explore on your own - we may just book the shared chalet anyway and suggest to everyone that we all go together for a weekend.

This is going to be a special weekend and opportunity to acquire skills and training know-how that you would otherwise take years to learn through trial and error (if ever). We are really excited about this opportunity to learn more about the sport we love and grow as athletes. Join us!
Chloë Lanthier, founder and director of the Chamonix Mountain Endurance Academy (xtrainingschool.com)
Chloë as a Degree in Exercise Physiology, a Master in Biomechanics & Human performance, and she is a Level 3 coach (national level) NCCA - National Canadian coaching association. She has been offering mountain running camps and seminars for over 25 years across North America and in Europe. A former mountain bike world champion, she is also an accomplished mountain runner with over 50 podiums. Her day job she is a consultant in sports orthopedics and performance training. She is an ambassador for Patagonia & Lyofood. Chloë is a Canadian and she lives in Chamonix.
