About the Event
There is SO much to explore in the Netherlands as a runner if you get onto the trails and into the nature reserves, dunes, beaches ... basically off the TAR! We highly recommend getting into this! It's Dutch adventure at it's best and it makes you see and move in your surroundings in such a playful way.
Our monthly trail run is a social occasion to explore exciting routes, to end with a hot choc or beer, have good chats, plan for other adventures together etc.... you get the point :). Plus we have some cool trail run races planned for the year and so these monthly meetups are a great way to train for those races on proper trail - to try to find some more technical tracks and perhaps some Dutch hills. It all counts.
We have a WhatsApp group for the City Alps trail runners where all the comms for this will take place. Each month, there will be a community leader who will decide the route, distance etc depending on who decides to join. The distance will be more or less 15-20km - sometimes shorter, sometimes longer if the group is keen or if some peeps want to do a bit of extra time on the legs while others start sipping at that well earned beer.
We will always meetup at City Alps and then depending on where the run will take place, it might mean a short train or car trip away. Make sure you always arrive with your own fuel and that you have a little bit of running experience behind you - by no means do you have to be excellent/fast/furious ... you just have to be able to run about 10km - the faster peeps will turn around and collect so that they can also get in extra KM's. If there are enough people, we may split the group up. Always good to have a watch for navigation - this is the fun part!
All City Alps members or class credit holders can join for these runs!
